"Day Ten" — A Sacred Festival
A Tshechu honours Guru Rinpoche, the saint who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan in the 8th century. The name means "day ten," as many are held on the tenth day of a Bhutanese lunar month, in the courtyards of majestic dzongs and temples.
